When the iphone first came out, there were all these apps that simulated old cameras and films. The results were on the cheesy side, but were also initially exciting for how they could transform mundane imagery into something graphically surprising. This way of taking photos quickly started to feel too gimmicky, but I like some of my initial images taken when it still seemed fresh.
